FAQs

Have a question? Answers to the most frequently asked questions will appear here, but we encourage you to send us your question and we will respond to you personally.

1.  Q: LIFE INSURANCE - I see on TV and hear on the radio quotes for life insurance that seem very inexpensive!  Can Valley Insurance get the same rates?

A: Yes, we quote through many of the same carriers.  However, the rates that appear in the media are "teaser rates" based on the top rate class available with the shortest guarantee.  This is usually only available to the healthiest individuals with absolutely no medical concerns.  In our experience, only about 10-15% of people qualifiy for this rate.  We will ask you some preliminary questions and give you the best quotes possible from over 20 different life insurance companies.

2.  Q: CATASTROPHIC CLAIM EMERGENCIES - If I have a serious accident, fire, or other significant loss after hours or on the weekend, how can I contact Valley Insurance?

A: For this type of emergency, we have a catastrophic claims pager.  If you happen to have a catastrophic claim when our office is closed, you can reach a Team One agent at 920-616-0235; at that time you will be prompted to enter your telephone number.  A Team One agent will return your call shortly and will be able to further assist you.  A catastrophic claim would include a fire, an accident involving very serious injury or death, or other significant loss.

3.  Q:  MORTGAGE INSURANCE - Do you sell mortgage insurance?

A:  Everyone's definition of "mortgage insurance" is a bit different.  Traditionally, this was an insurance product that was tacked on to a mortgage, and covered the amount of the mortgage in case of death or disability.  While our current products don't have the capability of being added to your mortgage payment, we do have life insurance that has a decreasing face value, in line with your mortgage amount, as well as the availability of individual disability income insurance, that can be designed to fit your specific need.

4.  Q:  MEDICARE - Which Medicare insurance plan is right for me?

A:  It really depends on your situation and your health conditions.  We have comprehensive Medicare Supplemental Insurance plans available, that for a known premium cover (in most cases) what Medicare does not; we also have so-called "Advantage" plans available that charge no or low premiums, but have deductibles and co-pays.  With all of the various plans out there, it's important to work with an agent to understand the differences.
