Additional Training and Certifications for FirstChoice Professionals
We will increase our continuing education program for staff members of FirstChoice as we strive to meet our 2006 objectives. As a critical component to success in our marketplace, our staff is eager to gather knowledge and information about their specialty areas of service. We have a number of education and certification opportunities in 2006 that will result in improved service to clients.
Susan Andrews, President and owner of FirstChoice completed The Best Practices program conducted as part of the continuing education program offered by the Independent Insurance Agents of Wisconsin (IIAW).
The course offers a variety of tools that address every vital area of agency operations and practices. The Best Practices Certification Series examines each area and shows how to use them to increase efficiency and enhance agency operations to add value.
Participants can complete a three-part program and be recognized as a Certified Best Practices Agency. Membership in the IIAW is a wise financial investment to take advantage of a nation - leading array of services available to members.
Michelle Sorrell, Personal Lines Account Manager is a licensed Property and Casualty Agent and has successfully completed her CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) designation which is the nation's leading certification program for insurance customer service representatives. The course maintains rigorous national standards. Although the courses are not state-specific, one of the objectives of a CISR course is to provide instruction on how to read insurance policies and learn the different conditions and exclusions. Ms. Sorrell has been part of the team at FirstChoice Insurance for eight years.
Rachel Cleven, Account Manager for Commercial Lines has been in the insurance industry, as a commercial underwriter since 1988, after graduating from the University of Wisconsin / Platteville School of Business. She recently received the CIC (Certified Insurance Counselors) certification which is the insurance industry's premier, proven source for practical, real-world education. The program is designed to cover important aspects of the insurance field and each institute requires a minimum of 20 hours of instruction. The five CIC institutes are Personal Lines, Commercial Casualty, Commercial Property, Life & Health and Agency Management. Ms. Cleven has been part of the team at FirstChoice Insurance Agency for five years.
